How the data is built

The inputs are the Executive Office for Immigration Review's adjudication statistics (U.S. Department of Justice), USCIS quarterly and monthly reports, and the DHS Office of Homeland Security Statistics yearbook. No surveys, estimates or third-party data.

Tables are extracted from the original PDF and Excel files by scripts that check row sums, recompute rates and reconcile every table with the totals printed in the same file. Each chart names its file, the agency's data-generated date, and offers a CSV download.

Legal context lives in the immigration law reference library: statutes, forms, courts and judges with primary sources.
